Mike Seashols Chairman of the Board |
With nearly 30 years of experience as an executive in the technology industry, Seashols brings significant strategic expertise to the AVOLENT team. Mike provides AVOLENT with a proven track record in developing go to market models, leveraging his skills in defining significant market opportunities, optimizing a company's resources to deliver solutions to these markets, and to build substantial barriers to entry.
Seashols began his career in the technology industry serving for 10 years with IBM before joining Oracle as their first Vice President of Sales/Marketing, reporting directly to Larry Ellison. At Oracle, Seashols was instrumental in establishing the company as the leader in the emerging relational database market with its impressive sales growth and IPO in 1986. Subsequently, he has served CEO and Board roles for a number of successful technology companies, including Versant, Documentum, Evolve Software, GoldenGate, and PostX.
In addition to his current Chairman role at AVOLENT, Mike also serves on the corporate board of Cogency Software in Burlingame, CA. Mike is a graduate of Manchester College with a degree in Mathematics.

Robert Antoniades RBC Technology Ventures |
Robert Antoniades is a Managing Director of RBC Technology Ventures, Inc and oversees direct investments in a broad range of technology companies ranging from information security to sales and trading applications. Robert also uses his over ten years of experience in Venture Capital to assist the development and incubation of emerging technologies developed within RBC.
Prior to RBC, Robert was a Vice President at BMO Nesbitt Burns Equity Partners and Executive Director of CIBC Capital Partners’ Silicon Valley office in Menlo Park where he collectively made investments in financial services software, internet service providers, enterprise and internet software and e-healthcare, among others. Additionally, he has a broad base of transaction and industry experience as a capital markets professional.
Robert also serves on the board of directors of ITM Software, Placemark Investments, and Infobright, and has a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and a Certified Investment Manager.

Anthony Bettencourt Former CEO of Verity US Venture Partners |
Anthony Bettencourt is currently an entrepreneur-in-residence at US Venture Partners. Previously, Anthony was the Chief Executive Officer of Verity, Inc, where he was responsible for growing the business from $15 million in annual revenues to more than $140 million from 1995 to 2005. A veteran of the enterprise search market, Anthony led the team that set the strategic direction and execution characteristics of Verity, resulting in Verity's acquisition for more than $500,000,000 at the end of 2005. In 2005, he was awarded the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for software and technology in the Silicon Valley.
Anthony serves as a judge for the Tech Awards, is a mentor for Santa Clara University's Global Social Benefit Incubator program, and is an honorary committee member of The Silicon Valley Challenge Summit. He serves on the board of directors of AVOLENT as well as on the board of directors of the non-profit Alameda County Meals on Wheels. Anthony attended Santa Clara University.

Liza Boyd Bear Stearns |
Liza Boyd is an Associate Director with Bear Stearns. She has almost 10 years of venture capital and investment banking experience. At Constellation Ventures for over six years, Ms. Boyd focuses on software and services with a particular emphasis on Web services, Security technologies, Online marketing technologies and Enterprise software. Ms. Boyd is responsible for initiating, evaluating and structuring transactions in these sectors for Constellation Ventures. Ms. Boyd has worked extensively with her companies on navigating Bear Stearns Information Technology and Communications Groups and has assisted her portfolio companies in garnering contracts. She is also an active member of several audit and compensation committees. Ms. Boyd currently serves on the Boards of Widevine Technologies, Fathom Online, Siperian, AVOLENT, Orchestria and K12.Prior to Constellation, Ms. Boyd was an investment banker with Patricof & Co. where she focused on private placements. Ms. Boyd began her career at First Union as an investment banker.
Liza received her degree in Mathematical Economics, Summa Cum Laude, from Colgate University.

Habib Kairouz Rho Ventures |
Habib Kairouz is General Partner at Rho Ventures. Prior to joining Rho in 1993, Mr. Kairouz had five years of investment banking and leveraged buyout experience in New York with Reich & Co. and Jesup & Lamont.
Mr. Kairouz received an M.B.A. from Columbia University. His current and recent board seats include AnswerSoft, AVOLENT, Carparts Technologies, Intralinks, iVillage, Peranet, Streetmail, Tripod and Yantra.

Karl Khoury Columbia Capital |
Karl joined Columbia Capital in 1996 and focuses on software, security, and wireless opportunities. Karl is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BioNetrix, Digital Paper, GoAhead Software, Riptech, AVOLENT, and is actively involved with Vibrant Solutions. Former Columbia Capital portfolio companies that Karl worked with include CCT Boatphone, Digital Television Services (now Pegasus Communications), NMP (now Commerce One), and Riverbed Technologies (now Aether Systems). Prior to joining Columbia, Karl worked in the Leading Technologies Group at J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York and San Francisco, and focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions, as well as public equity financings. Karl received his B.S. in finance from Lehigh University.
