Industry Sales Manager (Location Negotiable)

POSITION DESCRIPTION Avolent is seeking aggressive sales professionals with an entrepreneurial attitude and strong industry experience and skills in one of four targeted industry segments: HealthCare, Leasing, Telecommunications, or Distribution. The right candidate must have a demonstrated ability to qualify prospects, build multilevel relationships, develop and propose solutions, negotiate deals, and manage through to deal closure. Consultative selling experience is a must. Working experience developing and executing a sales strategy for their targeted industry global coverage is key as well as working with partners in their targeted industry segment is a plus. Enterprise-class software and service sales experience is critical. Since this position reports to the CEO, the candidate must be comfortable working fairly independently with minimal management oversight and possess the ability to learn quickly ‘on the job'.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate and carry to closure at least 4 large ($800K+) transactions per year
- Penetrate, build and manage C-level relationships with target key accounts
- Ability to work complex software opportunities with a heavy application / data integration and professional services component
- Research and build vision with companies in target marketplace
- Develop and deliver sales presentations in-person and via remote sessions
- Work with Systems Integrator partners to close large deals
- Drive the negotiation/closing of major company contracts
- Provide the "customer and prospect voice" for the company
- Primary strategist for customer/prospect closing
- Forecast predictable sales volumes and timeframes
- Arrange, structure, and execute client meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Industry expertise in the targeted industry segment
- Experienced with enterprise software (i.e. ERP, Billing, CRM) and services sales (closed deals in excess of $500K@). Experience with billing and payment applications is a plus
- Sold into large accounts and negotiated major deals in the targeted industry.
- C-level contacts and relationships in targeted industry vertical a plus
- Understands consultative selling and strategic account selling
- Understands how to work with internal and external professional services
- Can work autonomously
- Professional polish with energetic, positive presence
- 5+ years in sales/sales management roles
- Strong W2 profile
- Willing to travel
REPORTING This position reports to the CEO.
COMPENSATION Compensation is commensurate with experience and levels of assigned responsibilities.
