Project Manager - Professional Services

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Avolent is seeking "the best of the best" to join "the best of the best" in our services team in San Francisco, in the capacity of Project Manager. The Project Manager leads the development ream and is accountable for a successful implementation of Avolent product suite. This position is customer facing and requires experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle including managing requirements, design, development, testing, installation, and user support. Our Project Managers interface with many aspects of the organization including Product Engineering, QA, Technical Publications, and Sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for establishing and nurturing lasting relationships with our customers
  • Must work closely with customer business process owners to define objectives
  • Interfaces internally with services team members to manage projects and customer expectations
  • Hands-on in all phases of the software development implementation cycle:
  • Managing requirements
  • Design
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Installation
  • User support

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Special Projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Highly motivated with strong customer interaction skills
  • Experience with full cycle software implementations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in both group and independent environments
  • Must possess a can-do attitude, remain flexible, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Education or Formal Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/MIS/Business or related field; Master's preferred

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in a consulting, or project management capacity
  • Big 5 consulting experience a plus

REPORTING
This position reports to SVP, Services.

COMPENSATION
Compensation is commensurate with experience and levels of assigned responsibilities.
