Description
The Contivo data mapping tool, available as an option with the AVOLENT application, is an ideal way to transform customer data into the formats defined by the AVOLENT XSDs. This course covers how to utilize the portions of Contivo needed to enable this process.

Audience
This course is designed for those responsible for designing the process around loading account, user or invoice data into AVOLENT from legacy systems that wish to utilize the Contivo data mapping tool included with AVOLENT.

Prerequisites
Knowledge that is not required but helpful for this course consists of XML, XSL, company data that is intended to be loaded into AVOLENT, and previous ETL (extract-transform-load) tools.

Objectives

• Understand AVOLENT Architecture in relation to data loading
• Understand the basics of the AVOLENT data model
• Create source and target definitions using the Contivo data mapping tool
• Create mappings in Contivo
• Run mappings to move data into proper XML form
• Run data loaders to load data into AVOLENT
