Technology
The AVOLENT application architecture is designed to meet the needs of a large-scaled, highly available, 24x7, 100% accurate financial enterprise application. To achieve this, the architecture is multi-tiered, modular, scalable, object-oriented, component-based, distributed, data-centric and metadata driven.
The architecture is 100% Java, and therefore can leverage standards in order to support multiple platforms, multiple databases (JDBC), and real-time and remote interfaces. The data driven nature of the architecture provides a common data store for integration with back-end systems, and makes the application language neutral by utilizing XML and XSDs to define data formats. The multi-tier, distributed aspect coupled with redundancy enables scalability, load balancing, and failover for high availability.
